Today we will cycle along the Canal du Rhône au Rhin from Neuf-Brisach through Kunheim and Artzenheim to Marckolsheim, all on French soil. Between the latter two places, the Canal de Colmar branches off, which we will leave to the left for today. From Marckolsheim, we will cross over to the German Sasbach at Kaiserstuhl at the dam of the same name. From there, we will follow the Old Rhine and through the Rhine floodplain forests back via Breisach to Neuf-Brisach. All in all, a wonderfully green 50 km route - and all without an electric bike...!
