Puerto Lope is a locality (hamlet) belonging to the municipality of Moclín (also known as Pueblos de Moclín), in the northwest of the province of Granada, in Andalusia (Spain, Europe). It is part of the Comarca de Loja and the natural region (and tourist area) of Poniente Granadino. It falls under the judicial district of Granada, the judicial district No. 3 of the province of Granada, and is also part of the cooperative association of municipalities of Poniente Granadino.
Puerto Lope has a population (according to INE data from 2023) of 1,172 inhabitants. The village of Puerto Lope is situated around the national road N-432 (from Badajoz to Granada), which crosses it from north to south. Puerto Lope is located 37 km from the city of Granada (approximately 36 minutes) and 4 km from Moclín, the municipal capital (approximately 8 minutes).
The beautiful parish church of Puerto Lope is dedicated to Our Lady of Remedies; it was built in the 1960s of the 20th century.
