La Garriga is a town and municipality in the province of Barcelona, in Catalonia (Spain, Europe). It belongs to the comarca of Vallès Oriental (capital: Granollers) and the judicial district of Granollers, which is the judicial district No. 3 of the province of Barcelona.
La Garriga is well known throughout Catalonia for its beautiful Catalan modernist architecture from the late 19th and early 20th centuries, featuring stunning homes, mansions, palaces, and villas (and even a hotel-spa) built in this enchanting architectural style that captivates everyone who sees or visits it.
According to data from the INE in 2023, it has a population of 17,052 inhabitants and an area of 18.8 km².
The beautiful parish church of La Garriga is dedicated to Sant Esteve (Saint Stephen); it was built in the 17th century and is in the baroque style.
