Caudete is a city and municipality located in the east of Albacete province, in Castilla-La Mancha (Spain, Europe). It is part of the comarcal area of the Almansa High Plateau (also known as the Almansa Corridor). It belongs to the judicial district of Almansa, the judicial district No. 3 of Albacete province, and is also part of the municipal association of Monte Ibérico-Corredor de Almansa.
According to INE data from 2023, it has a population of 10,146 inhabitants and covers an area of 141.61 km². Caudete is situated between two provinces, Murcia and Alicante, and two autonomous communities, the Region of Murcia and the Valencian Community, making it one of the few Spanish municipalities that borders both two provinces and two autonomous communities.
The beautiful parish church of Caudete is dedicated to Saint Catherine of Alexandria and Saint Michael the Archangel; it was built between the 14th and 18th centuries and features Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque styles; it was declared a Cultural Asset of Interest on December 22, 1992.
