From Tsitsikamma to the Wine Region – a long journey through stunning landscapes
The day began at the Tsitsikamma Village Inn. Surrounded by plenty of greenery and fresh air, we set off early for a long day of driving.
We followed the route along the Garden Route, passing well-known places like Featherbed Nature Reserve and Buffels Bay, but the views during the drive alone made this section very beautiful.
In Wilderness, we took a break. A coffee at the Roastery, then a quick detour to the beach. The sandy beach is long and wide like Miami Beach, and the sea was a pleasant 22 degrees, with our swimwear in the car, so we took a walk along the sandy beach.
After that, we experienced a particularly impressive part of the route: about 50 kilometers of panoramic road to the Wine Region heading to HERMANUS, lined with countless fields. A landscape that seems almost endless. It was here that we truly realized how intensive agriculture is in this region.
The journey was long but varied, with ever-changing scenery.
We arrived at the Misty Waves Boutique Hotel in sunshine and wind, our home for the next 2 days. The property is a dream—totally quiet and right by the sea with sea-view rooms.
Now the day can slowly wind down; we're heading out for dinner and a stroll to the center.
Until tomorrow 👋🏻 and thank you for the heartwarming comments on my blog, I really appreciate them. ❤️
