Return trip

Day in Tsitsikamma
We left the hotel at 10 a.m. Our destination was a short drive to Storms River Mouth (about 15 minutes).
At the park entrance, we registered again and then took the steep turns down to the parking lot.
We wanted to go kayaking but had to wait half an hour.
So we first went for a swim in the ocean. The sandy cove is amazing and the water was a perfect 22 degrees, even for me. 😅
The kayak tour into the gorge was truly impressive; the rock walls look towering from the water.
Afterward, we walked the Mouth Trail across the suspension bridges. It was a bit strenuous with all the steps in the heat, but it was worth it. We even saw monkeys stealing drinks from the guests along the way.
After a break right by the sea, we continued along the waterfall path by the coast. The waves crashing against the rocks looked really fantastic. Towards the end, it got a bit too dangerous for me to climb over stones; I preferred turning back and enjoying the view.
In the evening, we dined at the Tsitsikamma Brewing Company. Stefan had discovered this brewery.
Tomorrow we head a bit closer to Cape Town, specifically to Hermanus, a wine region right by the sea.
