Travel through France – May 1st
Today, our journey took us south to the 5-star campground Le Tamaris in Frontignan-Plage, right on the Mediterranean coast. The address: 140 avenue d’Ingril, 34110 Frontignan-Plage. The drive through France was a delight – with a dreamy beach and harbor stop in Le Barcarès. An ideal stopover to enjoy the sea and stroll through the harbor.
Upon arrival, we were not disappointed by the campground Le Tamaris – quite the contrary: an absolute dream spot! We were lucky to secure one of the best pitches directly in the front row by the beach (No. 187). The site truly lives up to its promises: very well-kept, not too large, and with direct access to the beach.
Right behind the campground begins the nature reserve Étang d’Ingril, which stretches all the way to Sète. During an evening walk there, we experienced a very special moment: flamingos in the wild! Although the sunset light wasn't ideal for photos – I’ll try again tomorrow under better conditions.
Our path led us along the beach into the small town – a scenic walk with the sound of the sea and pure nature. We returned through the protected area, which looked almost magical in the evening twilight.
Now, we are lying in the motorhome, the sound of the waves in our ears – and we already know: Tonight, we will fall asleep with a smile.
