May 5 – Journey home in continuous rain
This morning, we reluctantly decided to cut our trip short. The rain had been relentlessly pounding on the motorhome roof since the early hours – and according to the weather forecasts, that wasn't going to change in the coming days. Cold, constant rain, and no improvement in sight: that was just too much.
So we packed up and set off – over nine hours of driving lay ahead of us. And indeed: not a single minute without rain. Hard to believe, but true. The sky seemed to have decided to keep the floodgates open all day.
Despite the adverse conditions, we arrived home safely. The motorhome held up bravely, and so did we. It's a shame that the weather put a damper on things, but that's just how it is sometimes when traveling – not everything can be planned. For now, we are looking forward to a warm home.
All in all, we look back on a beautiful journey: From Málaga through France and Switzerland back home – we gathered so many impressions, discovered lovely places, made new experiences, and lived unforgettable moments. Even though the weather threw a wrench in our plans at the end, it was a journey we wouldn't want to miss.
