The day started with a half-hour seal and harbor tour in Cape Town. From the boat, there was a good view of the harbor and the city, accompanied by some seals.
Around noon, we drove to Muizenberg Beach. The wide sandy beach is especially known for its colorful beach huts and laid-back atmosphere. Today, there were many locals celebrating Christmas there.
Afterwards, we continued to Boulders Beach, where the famous penguin colony can be observed up close. The animals move freely between the beach and vegetation, which makes the visit truly special. Entrance fee is 13 Euros per person.
The crowning highlight was the Chapman’s Peak Drive – an absolutely magnificent coastal road. The road winds spectacularly along the coast, with views that are hard to put into words. The Chapman’s Peak Drive was just amazing and definitely one of the highlights of the day.
Overall, the day was well planned with many wonderful impressions.
Tomorrow we go up Table Mountain.
