Arrival: Düsseldorf - Doha - Colombo

Finally, it’s time to go. My first flight heading towards Asia with Qatar Airlines. The destination Sri Lanka is getting closer. Along the way, there's a wonderful view of the full moon above the clouds, as well as the opportunity to read the Quran. Additionally, the location of Mecca is shown on the digital map next to the North Pole. But first, a stopover in Doha. Allegedly the best airport in the world. Definitely a huge airport with an indoor train, botanical garden, luxury cars, and lots of modern art. Even at night, countless connections to the entire world. There’s probably always something happening here. In contrast, the airport in Colombo feels like a small outpost in the middle of nowhere.
