The fortress city of Cité de Carcassonne

A visit to the Cité is definitely worth it. Particularly the museum and the walk along the old city wall are a must. Comparable to the Palace of the Popes in Avignon.

In principle, the fortress city is a tourist shopping street in old houses. It is very reminiscent of Rothenburg ob der Tauber. However, there, the shops are also partially labeled in Japanese. This place didn't go that far.
