Tag 7: Off to the south

Abruzzo, Molise, Apulia. Today's ride takes us through three provinces in southern Italy, with the aim of reaching Gargano. After a quick breakfast in the charming old town of Isernia, we head to the SS650 towards the sea and along the coast towards Termoli.

From there, it is not far to the turnoff to Gargano. This incredibly beautiful coastal area is home to one of the last primeval forests in southern Italy. Along the coast, small picturesque fishing villages are lined up. In Rodi di Garganico, we finally find a nice little hotel where we can unload our luggage and explore the old town. The architecture is definitely different from just a few days ago. We have arrived in southern Italy.
