From Tbilisi, we took a day trip to Dawid Gareji Monastery on Easter Monday. We actually liked the landscape much more than the monastery, so we didn't go inside at all. Instead, we were able to explore the area more and even crossed the border into Azerbaijan - as confirmed by Google Maps.
