Prolog - 2025

The Laika has been standing in front of the door since November, wrapped in a tarpaulin.

Now the first rays of sunshine have emerged and the tarpaulin is down.

It's time to hit the road again.

After our autumn trip in 2024 had to be redesigned, the destination is now set: to the Piedmont region in Italy.

But that's just one half of it. We are captivated by the Rhine. The longest river in Germany offers so many different landscapes, from the Alpine Rhine (in Switzerland) to the Lake Rhine (Bodensee), High Rhine (from Constance to Basel), Upper Rhine (from Basel to Bingen), Middle Rhine (from Bingen to Bonn), Lower Rhine (from Bonn to the Dutch border), and finally the Rhine delta around Rotterdam.
