After another quiet night, we arrived very early in Marseille.
We had already booked an excursion for 8 AM, so we had to wake up quite early.
Marv wasn't too happy about that, as he had just gone to bed around half-past one.
We took a bus a short distance into Marseille and then transferred to a mini-train, which took us to an old Notre Dame where we could enjoy a wonderful view over Marseille. After a short independent stay in Marseille, we were back on the ship by noon.
Marseille itself is quite dirty and multicultural. Of course, a croissant in France was a must.
In the afternoon, we enjoyed the sun again, and just in time for departure, we were lying on Deck 15 above the stern in the sauna outdoor area and got to witness the ship setting sail. For me, it was an absolutely amazing feeling, especially because it was super peaceful.
Tomorrow we will be in Barcelona, which will be the last day for most travelers. Due to our separately booked areas, we don't see each other very often, but that's not a big deal. We usually meet by chance somewhere in the fitness center or sauna. We've also already received all departure information today; we will be picked up for our transfer on Thursday at 1 PM.
