Palomino + Tayrona I

Day 7

After a long night, we leisurely strolled into the day, had a hostel breakfast and did the last bit of shopping before taking the bus ride to the entrance to the Tyrona Nation Park in Zaino. As is often the case, our bus driver was the fastest on the road. Insurance and entrance fee to the park were paid, a small shuttle bus was taken and we were on the hiking trail that took us through the jungle for two hours. On the path we came across a family of monkeys and a number of insects and small reptiles. After about 2 hours we arrived at our campsite and were able to exchange our campsite for a hammock. Despite the clouds, we watched the sunset with a new acquaintance and were able to tame the waves with our swimming skills. We had fish for lunch and had fries and a burger in the evening. Unfortunately, in a small mishap we lost our good mosquito spray.
