Dubrovnik walk along the harbor

Our next destination on our Adriatic trip is Dubrovnik in Croatia. We will start here around 8:00 am, walking along the harbor area to the market hall.

Just like from the ship, the Frano Tudman Bridge is also visible from the street. This cable-stayed bridge, approximately 518 meters long, connects the port of Cruz and the Lapad district with the mainland.

Passing yachts, you reach the Dominican monastery of Holy Cross with the sculpture of John Paul II.

After about 20 minutes we reach the market hall. Despite the early hour, many stalls are empty. We had expected it to be much busier.

We head back towards the ship. Just before the harbor entrance, there's a large supermarket. Across the street is the memorial to the children killed in the Homeland War.

The route was approximately 3 km in total. Ideal for those who booked their excursion in the afternoon or, like us, in the evening.
