USA West Coast Roadtrip - Day 9

Our goal today is to return our rental car at Los Angeles LAX airport by 2:00 PM at the latest. Therefore, we start shortly before 9:00 AM, and Andreas drives the entire route himself; we only stop for a brief refueling right before the airport. Now we need to get to downtown L.A. By public transport, it takes at least 1.5 hours, and we would have to change several times. Therefore, we book a Waymo car again. This way, the ride takes 45 minutes and costs $38. We will surely be taken to our hotel, The Haas by Wyndham – one of the reasonably priced hotels in the center of L.A. Andreas is going to a Hatsune Miku concert again today. However, since the ticket is not showing in his app, I should accompany him to the concert hall, Peacock Theater. There, we can resolve the ticket issue, and Andreas can wait for entry without worries. In the meantime, I will walk back, do some shopping, and write this travel blog. I’m also preparing activities for the next few days. What stands out are the numerous homeless people in L.A. – we didn't notice this intensity in Seattle or S.F., nor on our last tour two years ago in the cities on the East Coast. There are actual tent cities on the sidewalks, many homeless individuals look very emaciated, and are presumably struggling with drug abuse.
