My last day was busy with travel. My time in Tokyo has come to an end, and I'm off on new adventures. First, I visited a buddy in Tateyama. I got there by bus, which drives over/under the ocean/bay.

Once I arrived, I explored the rural region by bike. There are many shrines, including a very old one, the Awa Shrine, which is said to have been established over 2600 years ago.
After that, I cycled along the coast to visit a lighthouse that is open to the public.

The next day, I rode in the opposite direction along the coast. There are also lighthouses and beautiful temples in that area. These are situated a bit higher, offering a lovely view of the water and the mountains. The Daifukuji Temple, built right on the rocks, is particularly impressive.

The weather was very nice, and I even got a nice sunburn. Despite the good weather, I couldn't see far enough to glimpse Fuji or Tokyo across the water.

In the afternoon, I stopped in Tateyama and treated myself to some delicious Soba with Tempura. After that, I went to the small but charming castle.

The next day, I was already on my way again, heading further north.
