Today we continued to explore the island, and Marlies still recognized a lot of things. Today we walked back to the center with our stick! Our goal was the local museum, but on...

Today, after breakfast, we went to the beach with Henry. The sun was shining from the sky and Henry is a sweetheart. He doesn't pull on the leash, he walks along nicely, but the stairs to the beach scared him again. When we found a somewhat shady spot, it naturally took him a while to find the peace and quiet to lie down. And lo and behold, when dogs passed by, he let out a loud growl and was very excited.
A moment later he pulled on the leash from the side and was free. Since yesterday I have only had him on a collar without a safety harness and now it had happened. I was quickly with him and luckily he didn't run away. I had attached the snap hook to the wrong loop, but I got him back. I was really shocked.
But then we were able to continue enjoying the beach. A rainbow appeared behind us! But why? I don't know. After two hours, I had enough sun and we trudged back through the sand. The beach huts were all full so we went into the center and ate there. I had a currywurst with chips and Marlies had a salad with chicken.
After that we split up, because Marlies is a real running junkie. Yesterday she ran to the ferry port. I wouldn't even do that if I had lost my walking stick. So Marlies went back to the beach, I went to the apartment.
When I got to the bus stop I was lucky. The bus that only runs every 1.5 hours had just arrived. So I picked up my Henry and loosened my backpack to pay, but the bus driver thought my dog was really cute and when I wanted to buy my ticket for one stop he just said, "go through."
I quickly covered the last part and lay down on the bed with my heating pad. But I couldn't sleep, so I spent the afternoon reading and playing games.
Marlies is now at an organ concert, but running again? No, I'm not going to do that. So I'm going to let the day end in peace.
