Prolog II
Almost exactly 24 hours after I set off, I then reached Ancona. The ICE to Munich

After 24 hours, I reached the Greek mainland in Patras. The crossing was okay. I shared my cabin with an older Greek man who was very nice but also slept very loudly. Coughing, wheezing, sneezing, snoring, farting. It was all there. Fortunately, my sleep was quite good overall, so although I woke up several times, I managed to accumulate enough rest.
In Patras, I took a taxi to the bus station to catch the express bus to Athens.
Upon arrival, I was supposed to get on a bus that would drop me off at the central Omonoia Metro station. Unfortunately, I missed getting off in time and ended up taking a little city tour before I exited back at my starting point.
The second attempt with the taxi worked out, though. From Omonoia, I took the metro directly to the port of Piraeus, where I checked into my hotel around 8:00 PM.
After grabbing a Souvlaki pita, this penultimate travel day was officially over.
