Okay, maybe a bit exaggerated considering I only moved about 20 km to the west, but still, I've had the catchy melody of one of my favorite band's commercially most successful hits stuck in my head today.

With a heavy heart, I left Droutsoulas and Maria today. From what I understood, she was - to put it mildly - very satisfied with me as a guest. I can relate to that; I think I'm really quite a good guest 😉

The days in the mountains were truly refreshing. I can absolutely recommend the apartment. Everything was just right there except that I now have a bit of a craving for socializing, conversations, and the chance to have a ouzo in the evenings.

My new room was also ready for occupancy from 2:00 PM. It's much more spartan. Unlike the holiday house with a kitchen and several rooms, here I only have a bed, wardrobe, bathroom, and refrigerator. BUT: A balcony with an amazing view, 54 seconds to the small beach, and a fantastic tavern with super friendly staff right below my room. Somehow, a lot of what I imagine as the setting for an ideal vacation is coming together.
