Tsitsikamma National Park

Yesterday we decided not to do any hiking in Tsitsikamma Park. We wanted to take it easy.

First, we drove to Nature's Valley and took a little walk on the beach. Then we explored the area. Unfortunately, it only consisted of three shops :-). So we finished visiting NV very quickly. As we were only allowed to drive 20 km/h in NV, we saw a long line of cars in front of us on the road. It looked nasty, greenish with gray. It hid in the grass when it saw our car.

The next stop was a huge bridge. It looked amazing. You could do bungee jumping from it. I had already researched that in Germany and wondered if I would dare to do it. But just from watching, I could have passed out. No, I couldn't do that. We watched three jumpers jump headfirst from the bridge.

After that, we went to the Big Tree in Tsitsikamma Park. The tree is said to be over 1000 years old. It didn't really blow us away. We have seen much bigger ones. We quickly said goodbye to the little tree.

We continued to the Storms River Bridge. The view of the gorge was incredible. It was scary to see cars racing past us at 120 km/h. It's unbelievable that you are allowed to walk along highways as a pedestrian.

As it was starting to get dark, we visited the town where we stayed. Storms River is a super cute little village. It has really cool restaurants, cafes, and a small market. We walked through the whole town and then ordered African dishes in a restaurant. We both enjoyed it a lot.

With our stomachs full, we went back to our accommodation. There we planned our further route :-).
