Baiona Promenade
Baiona, Spain

I wake up with messy hair, and I'm a bit annoyed that I mentioned my appointment at the hairdresser last minute.
After all, I slept quite well and want to walk over this wonderful bridge again in the morning.

However, my first stop is breakfast, just around the corner. For €10.50, I get a really great breakfast with fresh orange juice and a huge, lovingly crafted cappuccino.
After that, I walked again in daylight over the Ponte Dom Luis, which connects Porto with the city of Gaia. For a moment, I feel true happiness, but I catch myself wanting to share it. However, I also need to take some time just for myself....

Finally, it’s time to go to the barber and hairdresser. Upon entering, I realize that they are probably Indians.
Now it gets interesting, as my Portuguese, translated by the translator on how to cut hair, is now being translated by him into Indian via his phone. I wondered to myself if this would go well. I was a bit surprised when I received a head massage at the end. And that’s not all; he also massaged my arms, neck, and hands, which made popping sounds multiple times. I, of course, rewarded this unexpected but very welcome treatment with a generous tip!

As for a picture later, I have to forgo it for now; I first need to get used to the sight myself ;-)

Finally, it was time to clear the room; I decided to walk to the Flixbus station with my backpack to get used to the weight.
Yet, Porto remains a sight to behold. Everything remains pleasant and calm.

My first ride on the Flixbus was excellent. Another first on my journey!

Upon arriving in Enrico, my luck continues. A little less than half an hour later, a public bus departs for Baiona for just €2.30, covering a distance of 25 km.

The sight of this small town takes my breath away. Before you, the bay unfolds and in the background, the mountains. My hotel is right by this bay.

After a lovely walk up and down the promenade, I now enjoy a glass of white wine while writing these lines.

Later, I will choose a nice restaurant and go to bed early, as my camino begins here tomorrow morning.
