The second day of our border walk began with a minimalistic breakfast. After that, the weather disrupted our original plans. We initially intended to go on a boat tour, but the wind was too strong and the water too choppy. Safety came first – so we quickly changed our plans: instead of going on the water, we set off on foot around the lake.
The hike took us through varied landscapes – sometimes right along the shore, other times through small forests and over open meadows. A particular highlight along the way was visiting Hoffmanshöhe. From there, we had a fantastic view of the lake and the surrounding countryside. The wind, which had prevented our boat tour, created an impressive atmosphere up there and left us with unforgettable impressions.
In the afternoon, back at our starting point, the day was far from over. The weather had calmed down a bit, and we took the opportunity to play Frisbee together. Although the wind posed some challenges, it made the game even more fun. There was lots of laughter, catches, and errant throws – and most importantly: we had fun together.
Even though the day was originally planned differently, it once again showed that good company and a little flexibility often make the best out of any situation. Content and with many impressions in our bags, we concluded the day – eager to see what the next one would bring.
