Tag 1 Border Hike (Outbound Journey)

Today was the first day of our border hike. In total, we had 68 kilometers ahead of us until we finally arrived at Lake Bergwitz. The route was long, the weather changeable, but the team's spirit was high, and we pushed through.

Upon reaching our destination, we immediately set up the tents. Despite the exhaustion, everything went smoothly. Afterwards, we went shopping together to gather supplies for the upcoming days. On the way back, something happened that definitely needs to be mentioned: Due to the strong wind, we lost the spice box from the cart – completely down, bottles broken, chaos. A true border hike moment.

Once back at the campsite, we took some time to unwind. We sat by the water, did a bit of fishing, and enjoyed the peace. Later in the evening, we had dinner – grilled on the gas stove. No luxury, but exactly what we needed after such a day.

All in all, a tiring but successful start. Day 1 is complete – and we are excited to see what’s next.
