Today I continued on to Montreal. The journey went without any problems. I wasn't in a hurry, as check-in was only possible from 3:00 pm. So I took my time and drove comfortably at a speed of 100 km/h (maximum allowed speed) towards Montreal. In total, there were about 200 km to cover. I also drove through various villages for a considerable distance parallel to the highway. One highlight was the local gas station, where I filled up my Jeep to the top for 76 cents/liter :) After I arrived in Montreal and moved into my new apartment (another apartment with its own kitchen), I went for a little walk. My host recommended a smaller farmer's market that is within walking distance in about 20 minutes. When I set off, I realized that my apartment is almost right next to the Olympic Park and the Olympic Stadium. The Olympic Games took place in Montreal in 1976. As a sports enthusiast, I couldn't miss that opportunity, so a small walk turned into a two-hour walk. I walked through the Olympic Park, past the Montreal football team's stadium, which plays in the 1st American league, to the farmer's market. After I returned, I made myself some dinner and planned for the next day. Tomorrow I will head towards downtown.
P.S.: Today, I recorded my journey from Ottawa to Montreal with a camera. If you're interested in watching the short video, you can find it here: https://youtu.be/YBPs6fBQN8w
