We sleep really well and get up around 8:30 AM. After showering, styling, and makeup, we face the usual outfit question. Kathi messes up her top with hairspray – perfect. She quickly rinses the top and hangs it in the sun.
The breakfast is fantastic: salami, cappuccino, and a pistachio croissant. We flirt a bit with the waiter, who has incredibly soft hands, and get a complimentary water with ice and lemon – just what we need after the sweet pastry. Of course, there’s also a little photoshoot at the café.
Our tourist day starts with the Spanish Steps, the Trevi Fountain, and the Pantheon. In Villa Borghese, we enjoy a relaxed break, as the many tourist attractions drain our energy.
A strawberry ice cream ends up – of course – on Lara's white pants. We buy crackers (basically just air) and cream cheese and sit by the water. Problem: The steps are not standardized.
In the evening, we eat near our accommodation: Cacio e Pepe and a dish with guanciale. Kathi had actually expected a light sauce – she should have read the menu, as it was with tomato.
