'Drenched to the bone'

The previous day had ended with a waterfall, and this one was starting with one. Our first stop of the day was a small waterfall, or rather two waterfalls, that merged together when falling to create a lake below. It was like a hidden cove (which we stumbled upon by chance, and I unfortunately don't remember its name) that we could overlook, and where the autumn leaves had already created enchanting colors. A great spot for photos! We caught the last rays of sunshine before it was supposed to rain for the rest of the day. We snacked in the car and drove along the almost empty road (using the plural wouldn't fit - we almost always drove on THE road).

The next waterfall was more well-known. Gljufrabui is famous for being able to run behind the falling water. But I have to warn you - it's really wet! Of course, it didn't help that it was already raining, but after this tour, we were completely drenched. But again, it was definitely worth it. The rocks were slippery, and the spray of water splashed on our faces, but after a short walk, we stood behind the waterfall - we saw it from the back, saw the world through the water. I would love to describe what I saw behind it, but with my hat pulled down and water on my face, I didn't see much. Still, it was an impressive experience and certainly refreshing! We decided to make our way to the accommodation instead of seeing more waterfalls, because the weather and the cold were getting to us a bit. The accommodation was located on gravel roads in the middle of nowhere, where we cooked for ourselves for a change and enjoyed a movie. A nice evening after the whole adventure!
