Moving to Lovere
From the luggage, one could think that. Departure was set for around 9 AM by Dad, and what do the women make of it: 11:10 AM 🥴. Chaos, arguments, shouting, and no progress. Thus,...

Tag 1 in Italy. After a rough night, the day begins tiredly on the newly furnished balcony. For the first time, we have our dishes, and joy reigns. The stylish retro kettle should also come into use, but unfortunately, the plug doesn’t fit 🤪. It's still warm... Later, we will 'hang around' and do some handiwork. Lala helps Mamma a lot with assembling the shelf. Where a hammer is needed and there isn’t one at hand, both mother and child simply grab a hairbrush instead 😂. Papa is putting up the curtains.
Later, we go with bags and packs to the nearby lake for swimming. Wow, it's hot. Mamma feels unwell, the girls are whining, and Father is annoyed. Lala doesn't want to apply sunscreen, runs away like a madwoman, and Mamma gets stung by a wasp right under her arm (*Help, what if it was a killer wasp?!* 🤣🤣🤣), one of the swimming wings is broken, and the child refuses to stay at the edge of the lake, while Father grumbles and stands half in the water, Wiwi learns to jump from the float, and the big ones are having fun scaring everyone, teasing, and bickering. Despite everything, it’s a great place, delicious ice cream, and strong spritz (right, Papa?). In the evening, we go to Porto for dinner. It was a nice restaurant with a playground and a fun field. Unfortunately, it is now just a stylish sushi place. That’s not okay anymore. But try bringing the overtired little ones down from the swing and back to the car. More squabbling, crying, and of course, no parking at the piazza. So, half of us get out, and the other half drives the car home. Dinner becomes a test of patience, resembling a bad movie. Details are spared, but when the father thinks a dog is approaching him and it’s just the little kid crawling on the ground who doesn’t listen to anything anymore, it captures a small symbolic snapshot of the whole situation. Buona notte, this can’t go on...
