Today was finally our first time in an American national park 😍.
At first glance, Yosemite National Park looks very European, alpine. The relatively unknown national park is rightfully becoming more and more popular!!
Our day started with a Kellogg's breakfast by the Merced Creek (the small river in front of our room).
Then we drove about 1.5 hours towards Glacier Point. This is the most famous viewpoint at an altitude of about 2,000 meters.
On the way there, we had to make several photo stops - the view of the mountains and the valley was simply stunning!
We also encountered some wildlife, such as squirrel-like and deer-like animals. Unfortunately, the bear-like ones hid from us.
Afterwards, we went on a hike to Sentinel Dome. Once we reached the top at almost 2,500 meters, we could enjoy the incredible view!
Take a look at the pictures - you don't need to say more! #speechless
On the way back, we made a short detour through the valley. However, it was too crowded, so we only passed through.
In the afternoon, we suddenly craved coffee. Therefore, we decided to go for a coffee in the neighboring town. Unfortunately, after arriving in that town, we realized that it took us 45 minutes to get there 🙈
Expensive coffee...
Currently, we're ending the evening with Budlight and moonlight, so that we can start towards the coast tomorrow around 8:00 am (about 2.5 hours of driving).
We'll check in from Monterey!
Best regards,
Verena and Maxi
