Today we were at the famous Universal Film Studios in Hollywood, the largest producing film studios in the world.
Here, film history has been made with movies like 'Jaws', 'Harry Potter', and 'Jurassic Park'.
The beauty of it is that Universal also has its own amusement park.
We took the whole day to explore the huge area. The bad weather in the morning worked in our favor, as there weren't too many people and we didn't have to wait too long.
The attention to detail in the park is incredible.
The sets are faithfully recreated and even the staff are dressed according to the respective themes.
So we strolled through the shops of Hogsmead (the village in Hogwarts), had lunch at Krusty Burger in Springfield, and could immerse ourselves in the worlds of Jurassic Park and The Mummy.
Afterwards, we took the studio tour - the highlight of the studios. We were driven around the studios and the original locations of many famous films in small buses. It becomes clear once again that here, everything is more appearance than reality.
We finished the visit with The Walking Dead😋
Unfortunately, we had to make some preparations for tomorrow's departure and fight our way through the online check-in of American Airlines.
Now it is 10:30 pm local time and we are visiting our friends from the Aalbachtaler band who have been playing at the Oktoberfest in Los Angeles for four weeks.
A little piece of home in the middle of Los Angeles.
This is our last message from the USA 😢
Best regards
