9th day: From Ponte de Lima to Braga

Since I could only return the keys at 12 o'clock and temperatures of 32 degrees were forecasted, I decided, considering the 32 km I had to walk (which would have turned into 40 km), to take the bus (30 minutes, 6 euros) to Braga. It's a bit frustrating when you see that the trip only takes half an hour by bus, but 8 hours on foot.

I took the opportunity to explore the city of Ponte de Lima a little more closely and was amazed by its beauty. The fact that many relics from the Roman and medieval times are still standing made my heart beat faster.

The few kilometers through the city in the heat were already very exhausting and sweaty.

In the evening, I had managed to cover 8 km and plunged into the pool of the Garden Hotel in Braga. 😊

There will certainly be critical voices saying: this is no longer pilgrimage.

Actually, it hasn't been since the decision not to go to Santiago.

Now, in the remaining days, I will try to do something for relaxation.

But the goal is still to visit the pilgrimage site of Fatima at least.

Finally, I will spend two more days in Porto.

I will decide where I am going tomorrow tomorrow. 😄
