Hello you crazy people,

we're trying this again because my last post didn't really work out. So I made sure from the start that all the technology here works the way I want it to.

After my first day in Sydney, which as you more or less know went really well, I chose to visit the Paddington Markets for my second day. The market is about 30 to 40 minutes away by bus from Sydney Center and takes place every Saturday. Here, especially smaller jewelers and also some super delicious food can be found, and unfortunately, my wallet had to suffer quite a bit with the jewelers. They are all super nice and petite jewelers who mostly sell their jewelry only at these markets, and if any modifications need to be made, they will do so within a week, and you can just come back to the market a week later to pick up your custom ring.

I strolled around for about an hour and a half and kept stopping at jewelers, and much to the detriment of my wallet, I stopped repeatedly to buy things. At the end of the tour or the end of my market visit, I also found the food section here and treated myself to a super delicious snack. I also bought some tomatoes and bananas for breakfast, and a half sourdough soybean bread.

After the market visit, I took the bus back to the city center, and then I went looking for some souvenirs. However, I didn't find anything that caught my instant attention, except for some crown jewels from kangaroos. I was quite surprised when I saw these. I didn't take any with me. That day, I also changed hostels and moved from Darling Harbour to the YHA in The Rocks. The hostel is pretty cool because it was built on an old excavation site of previous buildings in Sydney and is still an excavation site. The hostel also has a fantastic view of the opera house, so after a wonderful and very expensive day, I treated myself to an expensive beer on top and enjoyed it with the sunset at the hostel.

The sunset was incredibly cool because these huge bats were flying around in the background. The entire CBD was illuminated by the sun in the background. When it got dark, the opera house was illuminated in various lights and also in the Aboriginal flag of Australia. The next day was Australia Day, so a packed day full of culture and wonder awaited me.
