Hello everyone,
I'm writing to you from the campsite on the French side near Geneva. I spontaneously found a spot here and I'm very happy to have a shower after a wonderful day in the mountains. Specifically on the Hausberg of Swiss Freiburg. The tour I chose took a total of 5 hours and gave me a fantastic view of le Moléson.
On the ascent, I had to remind myself to save my energy and not to run wild because I'm so motivated. I was relatively alone on the entire way up until I reached the middle station.
Everywhere along the way were small farms and the cows that produce the delicious Swiss alpine cheese.
The path to the summit was stated to take 3 hours and 15 minutes. I managed to do it in 3 hours but with some breaks to enjoy the view and wait until the cows were no longer in the way.
Nowhere is safe - this advertising campaign by Baden-Württemberg is just well done. It always puts a smile on my face.
After a good meal with nuts, an old bar I found in my backpack, and self-made sandwiches, it was time to go back down. The return route was different from the one I took on the way up, which made the tour incredibly varied.
That was a super nice hike and I am very proud of myself in retrospect for doing it alone and completing it. I can really recommend it to anyone who is in the area.
Now I'm sitting at the campsite, adjusting my vehicle, and I'll cook a little before going on a via ferrata tomorrow, which is about 30 minutes away and goes up to another castle. I will report back to you.
Best regards,
Your Britta
