Australia Day
Australia / Invader Day in Sydney.

Cuggee Cuuuuu my friends,
I hope you enjoy reading my blog. I just accidentally found out that I'm currently in 8th place on this page. Cool, but it shows me that people are reading my blog, which makes me very, very happy.
I was just as happy when I left the city of Sydney and took a look at a bit of Sydney's beaches. Something that Sydney and Australia in general are quite famous for. So, I took the bus for an hour to Cuggee and then walked on the famous Beach Walk to Bondi Beach. The day before was Australia Day, and since it was a Sunday, the country also had a holiday on the 27th. Unfortunately, I didn't take this into account when I set out that day - consequently, it was unfortunately quite crowded. People were really lying everywhere like sardines. So, walking past was okay for me, but I wouldn't have laid down on that beach in a hundred years.

On the way to Bondi Beach, the walk leads past various coves. Even in these coves, all the people were lying like sardines, but the view was beautiful. Over the sea and also onto the different coves and cliffs.

The walk is mostly developed as a boardwalk that runs along the coast. Very pleasant to walk - also very, very hot! And the sun was really blazing down from above.

At the beaches, it is also quite sad that swimmers can't just go into the water and swim; instead, the lifeguards herd all swimmers into a kind of corridor to try to minimize the risk. It's another peculiarity here that didn't exactly make me want to go into the water. It's understandable that they try to minimize the risk because the currents can sometimes be quite strong, and there are also sharks and crocodiles as hazards, but still something that takes away one of the feelings I seek when I come to the water: freedom!

After about 2.5 hours including a break, Bondi Beach and the famous ocean pool were already in sight, and I was also quite glad that the walk was slowly coming to an end. As a reward, there was of course ice cream!

After sweating, I took the bus back, and then I let the evening wind down quietly, as it started to rain in the afternoon/evening. So, I enjoyed the peace and went to bed early.

The plan for the next day includes a tour of the Opera House, and since the weather was forecasted to be up to 39/40 degrees, I hopped from air conditioning to museum to air conditioning to museum.
More on that later:
