34. Stage 'Kalaikhum, Tajikistan'

Our first stage on the Pamir Highway took us to Kalaikhum; the way there was marked by poor mountain roads leading through magnificent landscapes. At the highest point, just before Kalaikhum, Gerrit got a flat tire. The repair took a little while, and since it was already late, we had to drive the rest of the way in the dark. Despite the poor road, it went better than expected. Jeroen ended up in a ditch while trying to drive onto the hostel's property.
