Auxerre is a lively friendly little town. Inside the ring, there are only small old houses. The city seems quite untouched by tourism and has retained its French charm. There are several bars, cafés, and brasseries where people aged 30 to 50 meet and greet each other warmly. We feel very comfortable here :-)
