After a good breakfast, we set off at 8 AM on the road to Broome, heading further north. This is our last stop here in Western Australia before we fly to Darwin. We have 630 km to drive first! The 'onboard bistro' was well filled, as one can only buy something at a gas station at most. We also refueled twice along the way. The route? As always! A lot of nothing, with occasional changes in ground color and vegetation ranging from dry grassland to bushes, trees once again, burnt areas, and little traffic! 50 km before our destination, it became greener, and we saw many cattle on both sides of the road. Our resort is located near 'Cable Beach', a long and wide beach. The opening image shows the beginning of the sunset there. Many people also flock here to witness this spectacle. The tall palm trees and bungalows belong to our resort, where one can feel comfortable. After the beach, we went to 'Gantheaume Point', another rocky landscape that is a sacred site for Aborigines. The evening light casts it into a bizarre atmosphere. It is said that the dinosaurs left their footprints here. On the way back to the accommodation, we saw a number of camels. Their job was to sway tourists into the sunset. We had read about them, but it was quite a nice coincidence that they crossed our path. On the drive here - in the middle of nowhere - we had already noticed some camels. And this in Australia ...!
