It was the last Sunday of our long tour and it was once again quite filled. But first, let me add a note about yesterday. In the evening, we took a small boat tour on the Singapore River, and on both sides, there were beautiful restaurants that were filling up nicely. Each bridge had a special story. Then two light shows were planned, staggered in time at different locations, and it was great to be traveling by bus. These shows take place every evening, free of charge! Because yesterday was so wonderful, and since we are now more familiar with the subway system, we watched the second one two more times today. But more thoughts on that later! First, we saw the show at the 'Gardens by the Bay' in those gigantic, futuristic trees. The second was at 'Marina Bay'. The images and videos speak for themselves! That's why we were drawn back again, as the 'photo angles' were different. And today we experienced the full 'nightlife' - fully occupied restaurants, live music - even on the street, open-air theater... all for free! Many people were out and about, despite the heat and humidity! Moreover, it was school holidays, so families with children were also out enjoying the end of their Sunday. Many streets and squares were brightly lit. We also walked over the Helix Bridge this evening, which looks like a DNA strand with its lighting. Additionally, we participated in a food tour during the day, where we not only had local delicacies at various food markets, but some of the stalls even had a 'Michelin star', our tour guide shared a lot about the city's development, which added a special 'flavor' to the food. There were five of us tourists, another couple our age from the States, and a young German - we had a lot of fun together! So this is also a recommendation! We have walked a lot in Australia already, but here there will surely be even more to explore, as this city has so much to offer, including nightlife. The daily business here starts only around 10 o'clock, but as trained tourists, we tend to be out a bit earlier to explore the city! We might miss something!
