Last night, a strong storm blew over the bay. We were glad to be accommodated in a solid house. The noise alone made it difficult for us to fall asleep. In the morning, it was completely calm again, and we were eager for the promise: 'I swam with a ... Manta Ray in Coral Bay'. Yesterday, we had booked a tour for today that advertised this. And it worked out, even for the non-snorkeler of us both! We will have to provide photos later; a companion with an underwater camera was with us during the snorkeling trips and pictures will be provided. The captain was also diligently on the lookout, allowing us to observe and photograph dolphins wonderfully. There was a lot to see: reef sharks, a tiger shark, many corals, colorful fish, turtles... in incredibly clear water. The tour here at Ningaloo Reef offered, in our opinion, a greater variety than at the Great Barrier Reef. Because different areas were targeted and our companions knew what to expect, this tour was truly special! After each snorkeling trip, we were always properly counted! We are already looking forward to the professional pictures of the underwater world. This is how manta rays 'somersault' when they take in krill (tiny, shrimp-like crustaceans). We were able to observe 2 large individuals. Of course, watching the sunset at the usual time was a must! And about 30 minutes later, we had colors that romantics adore...
