Although it was Sunday, we got up early again. Today, we only had 240 km to drive, but we find it better to have some time to do things at the new location or have more continuous time for everyday activities. Others started much earlier... The cockatoo wished us a good journey in Carnarvon. At the city exit, we saw on one side of the road these colorful bougainvilleas and fields planted with peppers, tomatoes, melons, bananas, and other fruit trees. However, after about 10 km, the dreariness began again. The termite mound in the opening picture was not an isolated case. About 100 km before our destination, there were numerous mounds on both sides of the road. Just as suddenly as they appeared, they disappeared again after about 5 km. That was the highlight of the route! Otherwise, the road was consistent, cruise control set at 110 km/h, and somehow we didn’t get tired. The familiar steppe landscape from the past days! The fire danger is always displayed on signs along the roads. The arrows currently pointed to 'yellow' - the first level. Around noon, we arrived in 'Coral Bay,' which is part of the 'Ningaloo National Park,' at the 'Bayview' resort. This has established the 'place' 42 years ago. About 300 units, meaning from luxury suites to caravan pitches, are available next to restaurants, several snack bars, and shopping opportunities. And construction is still ongoing! A magnificent beach, endlessly long with clean white sand, invites swimming and snorkeling. The resort is not full, and after a dreamy sunset, it noticeably gets cooler, as does the wind, which blows strongly here. Finally, we managed to replace a lost pair of swim trunks here! Although you can buy snorkeling and, of course, fishing equipment and everything else needed for swimming in the few shops along the way - just not swimwear! And there are plenty of swimming opportunities! As a precaution, we bought 2 right away...
