Suspension Bridge Park

Stopped at Hanging Bridge Park on the way to Monteverde. Gigantic up to 50m high and never-ending bridges [here from 15m to 93m long]. It wasn't just the bridges that fascinated me: the different types of trees, the variety of shades of green, and the silence that was interrupted by shrill singing birds. The animals that live there have made their sights, not a wild boar, not a falcon, a bat that has camouflaged itself as a vine in the tree so well that only a trained eye could see it. Mine is not trained.

A whole family of coatis came very close to us tourists. We sat on the bus. Hehe.

I had hoped for more from the wild animals. Not just in the suspension bridge park. Whether macaws or monkeys, snakes or poison dart frogs, even sloths, only rarely to disappointingly few are seen or glimpsed in treetops.

With so much activity, every animal is more likely to stay in the safe thicket.
