This morning started early🙄

Taxi booking worked perfectly and our driver Jose was on time at 6:30 AM in front of the hotel. Out to JFK with moderate traffic after all.

Check-in went smoothly and we boarded our Alaska Air flight on time. (Didn’t they recently lose a door?) No matter, everything is going according to plan today, even faster than expected. A mere 5 hours from Coast to Coast.

As soon as we arrived at the airport in San Diego, we stepped out of the hustle and bustle of New York. Everything feels a bit smaller and more manageable. No fake taxis and just a quick 20 minutes to our very cool hotel. A really cool, relaxed city. And the capital for craft beer 🤩. Plus, it’s 20 degrees warmer. So, shorts are out.

First, we went across the street from the hotel to the Breakfast Company to satisfy our travel hunger.

After that, we strolled along the waterfront promenade and spontaneously stopped for some wine.

To cap off the day, we had Tacos (which originated in San Diego) and beer at Mike Hess Brewery. Tasting delicious varieties. 😋😋😋

Truly a city to enjoy and chill in. We will make the most of the next few days.
