Our last day held another highlight today, driving the Dodge Challenger over the Florida Keys to Key West. 🤩

Since we had already come to love Highway 1 in the West, we had to pay homage to its East Coast counterpart.

So early on, we quickly grabbed breakfast at Joe and the Juice and then headed to the rental place, everything went smoothly. The car was super cool😎.

Out of the city and then it was off the mainland out to the Keys. Best weather included.

It's really impressive how the highway stretches over the bridges further and further over the sea.

Out there, life doesn't seem too bad, only the risk of hurricanes and the necessary cash might cause some troubles.🌪

In between, we stopped for breakfast by the Atlantic, then went all the way to the final destination, Key West.

It's a completely different America here. You feel like you're on a Caribbean island. Small, colorful houses/cabins. Many bars with live music.

You need to get around here without a car🙄

We soaked in the atmosphere one last time and treated ourselves to something delicious grilled for a finale.

Then we relaxed on the 170mi (273km) journey back to Miami. That is, relaxed until we reached the city limits of Miami.

Then, of course, it was back to the 6- to 8-lane spectacle. Even with GPS, it was a challenge, but everything went well and we ended up at the right parking garage.

By midnight, we were back at the hotel and happily fell into bed.

And with that, our 'holiday trip' to the USA comes to an end. What an adventure it has been.

From the bitter cold Christmas magic of New York, to the breathtaking West Coast of San Diego, to sunny, hot Miami.

What impressions and experiences from this trip.

Once again, a wonderful time spent together for us. 🥰
