Aircraft Carrier & Rush Hour

Today we went down to the harbor and first visited the 'Kissing Sailor' (actually unconditional surrender ).

Afterwards, we toured the USS Midway.

An aircraft carrier that sailed the world's oceans from 1947 to 1992.

It’s insane how big that thing is. We almost got lost in the hull.

But it was really interesting, and it will be a long time before we get on such a 'device' again.

Then we somewhat recreated the Kissing Sailor 😁

Since today is our last day in San Diego, we wanted to visit the picturesque La Jolla again, but unfortunately the bus ride took a bit longer due to the rush hour, and we arrived just at dusk. 😏

But walking along the Pacific alone in the evening isn't too bad either.

After we got back to 'our neighborhood', we stopped by the BBQ, in style with burgers, wings, and beer🍔🍗🍺

A great ending to a wonderful stay in San Diego.🤩🥰😍

San Diego is truly the 'Finest City'. 🔟

We liked it a lot. 😎

Once again, the West Coast of the USA has captivated us, and it’s hard to turn our backs on it.

But tomorrow it’s still goodbye West Coast.😥👋

We are moving on to spend the New Year in Miami. 👙🩲
