The lake is amazing ❤️🥰

The Lord placed culture before the lake. We visited a museum and a signposted trail to the cave paintings at Cerro Castillo. This was the first time in the 700 km that something about the indigenous culture could be seen. And it will probably be the only time history is not so present in everyday life here in Patagonia.

The whole thing is called Paredon de las Manos and shows paintings that are around 3000 years old.

And then Lake General:

What should we write? It's beautiful: the weather is great, the Terra Luna Lodge in Puerto Guadal is beautifully located. Our house has a great view.

In the evening you can eat in the lodge's restaurant. This also makes sense if you don't just want to eat cookies, crackers, chips and cheese from the supermarket 2 km away. The nearest restaurant is 1.5 hours drive away. It's 65 km and everything takes a long time on the gravel road. And in the lodge's restaurant there is internet, which is sufficient for WhatsApp and individual photos.

We just got back from a trip and are sitting in a café with internet, so we can upload something. Photos from the trip will follow separately 😀

Just as an indication of the prices here. In the last photo, our lunch in a café in Puerto Tranquilo (the excursions start here, so there is some infrastructure): the daily special, salad with rice and fish and a cup of soup: 12.50 euros. It's completely fine, but nothing is cheap here.
