Day 12: Naples

Fort Myers - Naples

Beautiful weather with a strong wind, nice and challenging for a canoe trip. We rent canoes from a luxury resort and paddle through the mangrove forests. A beautiful area, but few animals to see. Afterward, we enjoy a big ice cream. Then we head to Naples. Upon arrival, some of us dive into the cold pool water or get thrown in. At the end of the afternoon, we set off for the beach to watch the sunset. Gorgeous houses, large homes, and chic apartment buildings. It feels Venetian. It takes too long for us to find a passage to the beach. By the time we arrive, the sun has already set. There are large resorts/buildings blocking access to the beach. Jesper and Lasse follow later and sneak along a resort.

We eat at the village pub by the water. Delicious and very cozy.
