Tina's dream was to paddle on the Geirangerfjord with a SUP. And wishes are like commands, so everything was done to fulfill this wish. The weather was on our side, with 13° and...

After saying goodbye to the Geirangerfjord, we first looked for a breakfast spot on the Geirangervegen and found one at 'Parking du Glacier' with a view of the Skjerdingdalsbreen.

During the descent from the Geirangervegen, we had a wonderful view of the Djupvatnet with its deep blue color.

On the way to the Birksdalsbreen (our destination for today), we passed narrow roads and unlit, single-lane tunnels.

While ascending to the Birksdalsbreen, we crossed the Kleivafossen, which flows with 10,000 l/min of pure glacial water.

At the end of the path, we had a magnificent view of our destination. Impressive and yet frightening how advanced the retreat of the ice is here.

Actually, we wanted to drive the Gamle Strynfjellvegen after the glacier tour and look for a place to park there. However, Tina read in time that the mountain pass has been closed due to snow since September 22nd, what a shame.
But we couldn't resist and drove up anyway, only to have to accept the closure and drive a good way back down the mountain. We were too long to turn around on the road. 😊
So now we are standing at the 15 in a lovely picnic spot
