A visit to the city of Momotarō

After today, I initially felt like there wasn't much to write about. The plan was actually to post a few pictures with short comments and leave it at that.

Upon further reflection, however, it became clear: there is indeed quite a bit I can write about today.

Our destination today was Okayama. The day started like any other of the past days, with a longer train ride and when we arrived at our destination, it felt familiar – mainly because we were visiting a castle again, this time the one in Okayama. However, there was a small deviation from the usual routine: we actually had a proper “breakfast.” Well, strictly speaking, it was more like lunch, but it was the first meal of the day.

After that, we headed to the castle itself. From the outside, it differs significantly from the castles we have seen so far: instead of bright white or light plaster facade, it is dark in color, which has earned it the nickname
